State Unitary Enterprise Fuel and Energy Complex of Saint-Petersburg and Ural Security System Center have reported on successful completion of the project stage for the construction and implementation of a hardware package for on-line monitoring of information security (IS) status and controlling the information security status of industrial control system.
The purpose of the project is to increase the level of information security of the Customer's critical information infrastructure (CII) assets, as well as to bring the information infrastructure of the enterprise into compliance with the requirements of regulators and Federal Law No. 187–FZ dated 26.07.2017 "Information Security of Critical Information Infrastructure of the Russian Federation".
To implement the project, it was required to fulfil the following key tasks: to develop a system for protecting processes at CII assets, to meet the requirements of federal legislation in information security, to ensure continuity of technological processes, to obtain real-time information about the level of IT infrastructure information security.
To ensure information security of systems and assets, DATAPK software and hardware has been implemented, as well as a centralized information security monitoring system has been built. The solutions made it possible to optimize resources and build an IT infrastructure taking into account architectural features and Customer requirements.
Alongside with the implementation of the information security monitoring system at CII assets, the Customer was provided with methodological assistance and support in CI assets prioritization.
As a result, the employees of USSC built a centralized system for monitoring the information security of CII systems and assets, they also gave recommendations for building local area networks at Customer's assets.
Based on the results of this project stage, specialists of USSC and SUE Fuel and Energy Complex of Saint-Petersburg made further plans and prepared a roadmap for increasing actual cybersecurity posture of Customer's assets.
