RASU JSC (part of Rosatom State Atomic Energy Corporation) and Ural Security System Center, Limited Liability Company (USSC, LLC) have set up a joint venture on parity basis to develop comprehensive solutions for information security (IS) of industrial control systems (ICS) – Rusatom Information Security Systems, LLC (RUSIB, LLC).
Among the key business areas of the new company are development of comprehensive solutions for information security (IS) that are in demand in the market and designed primarily to ensure the security of critical information infrastructure assets. In particular, the new business unit will work on creating such a competitive product as an intelligent platform to manage, control and secure information at enterprises and facilities of fuel and energy complex.
In reliance on RASU JSC expertise and USSC LLC experience, promotion of worked out solutions to ensure information security of industrial control systems at nuclear energy facilities both in Russia and abroad will become the most important task of the joint venture. Development of competencies in information security of industrial control systems for non-nuclear energy facilities, including development, supply, implementation and maintenance of provided solutions, conducting of various tests is considered to be a separate business activity.
"Being an industry integrator in the field of plant industrial control systems and electrical engineering, RASU strives for continuous development of industrial automation systems. As of today, it is extremely difficult to achieve such a result without strengthening the innovative potential in information security. By establishing close cooperation with Ural Security System Center, which has a wide range of competencies in information security, we are well on the way to tackle the set task," Andrey Butko, General Director of RASU JSC, explained.
