Ural Security System Center has announced the launch of the Corporate Center for Monitoring of Hardware and Software Information Security (USSC-SOC), which offers an integrated approach to information security through continuous monitoring of threads and rapid response to information security incidents.
USSC-SOC is a corporate center of GosSOPKA of A class; it complies with RF legislation requirements in the field of information security (IS), has a license of FSTEC of Russia for monitoring of hardware and software information security, as well as it is connected to the National Computer Incident Response and Coordination Center (NCIRT) and Financial CERT.
The Corporate Monitoring Center and NCIRT interact on the basis of a liaison agreement and a liaison protocol concluded between USSC and the NCIRT. The agreement ensures the exchange of information to solve tasks to detect, prevent and eliminate consequences of computer attacks on information resources which USSC is in charge for and which fall within the scope of GosSOPKA.
The Corporate Monitoring Center also cooperates with Financial CERT- the center for monitoring and responding to computer attacks in the financial sector: USSC and the Central Bank of the Russian Federation have signed a cooperation agreement upon which USSC is to counter computer attacks.
Valentin Bogdanov, General Director of USSC, says: "An effective solution to the information protection problem can be provided only when all processes are monitored in a continuous manner and consequences of computer incidents are identified, analysed and timely eliminated. Many organizations do not have the opportunity to set up full-scale centers for monitoring and controlling information security, but the corporate monitoring center of USSC will enable our Customers to solve these tasks in full, at a high- quality level and with minimal financial and time costs."
