From December 5-7, Yekaterinburg hosted an event that brought together representatives of IT industry from all over the country - the first IT congress and "Forum of the Future" exhibition.
USSC company is the main partner of the event and the organizer of the section "Cyber Resilience. Challenges of the New Age". Alexey Lukatsky, an information security expert and the author of the blog "Business Without Danger" moderated the section, and representatives of the state, business and large federal IT companies of Russia became invited speakers.
Issues related to development of the country's digital industry became the main focus of the discussion. Thus, participants discussed the current situation in the domestic information security market, ways to minimize attacks on major industries, as well as to increase stability and security of information resources, which can be observed after issuance of Decree No. 250 of the President of Russia.
Moreover, the Company presented the stand of the Cybersecurity Center, which combines the core competencies of USSC to protect critical systems from digital attacks. At the stand, Center's experts answered guests' questions about its focus areas. They also made short reports on practices to protect against cyber threats.
So, Sergey Marchenko, Senior Engineer of Information Security Automation Department, spoke about ways to tackle issues related to information security systems controlled via automation of incident response processes, he shared his experience in implementing SOAR solutions.
Andrey Bystrov, USSC-SOC analyst, shared experience of USSC in creating the Purple Team. The expert told how they came up with the idea to unite the attacking and defending teams, what Purple Team brings to the integrator itself, and he also spoke about the achieved results and outlook for practice development.
Evgeny Todyshev, Head of "Safe Development" Department, dedicated his speech to audit of incidents in Kubernetes. He gave recommendations with regard to parameters which should be taken into account when incidents are audited and platform incidents are investigated, but standard policies and techniques do not work and the environment is not static.
It should be noted that Yevgeny Kuyvashev, Governor of Sverdlovsk Region, visited the stand of USSC Cybersecurity Center on December 6.
