The U Summer School (USS), organized by Ural Security System Center, ended on August 1. During the month, interns got acquainted with work features in information security area and tackled practical tasks which an information security specialist faces with.

Students interned at USSC company in 10 areas:

Internship defence was held at the end of USS. Interns told about completed tasks and acquired skills. As a result of the summer school, 16 students were employed by USSC.
"The summer internship is an opportunity for students to get acquainted with USSC and develop hard skills required for a specialist, and a company has an opportunity to take a fresh look at tackling familiar tasks on the part of young specialists.

We apply a unified approach to organization of summer internship in all USSC departments participating in it. The key element of it is that U Summer School participants were trained by company's experts in each area, and then they were able to apply the obtained theory in tackling work tasks. So, the managers had the opportunity to look at the students at work during the month, evaluate their skills and get enough information to make a decision about employment," Anna Astafyeva, Head of USSC Training Department, said.
Students have noted that there is no "dry" theory but there is cool atmosphere of teamwork in the summer school, as well as a loyal attitude towards interns on the part of the internship organizers. "I liked the fact that the company gives interns the opportunity to feel like a part of USSC community, because we were trained at our own workplaces among other employees. We had practical cases under the guidance of experienced mentors, who gave necessary advice and gave a clue to the most effective solutions," the graduate of U Summer School 2022 noted.
